Eligibility

Written for one stage. Narrow on purpose.

Most people who find this are doing it alone, and that is who it is written for. But there is a point below which no piece of writing is the right help, and being on the wrong side of that line is not a judgement — it means a doctor is the right answer first.

This is written for you if

  • You are 18 or older
  • You are medically stable — no fainting, no chest pain, no collapse in the last months
  • You are doing this without a therapist, or alongside one — either works
  • The acute phase is behind you, and the rules are not
  • You want structure, and you are willing to be uncomfortable inside it

This is not for you if

  • You are medically unstable, or your physician has not cleared you
  • You are underweight or actively restricting
  • You are under 18
  • You are looking for something to replace medical care
  • You are looking for a meal plan, a diet, or anything about your weight
  • You are in crisis right now — that needs care today, not a twelve-week program

If you are not sure

The honest test is medical, not emotional. If you have fainted, if your heart races or skips, if you are cold constantly, if you have stopped menstruating, or if anyone has used the word hospital — see a doctor first. You can still do this afterwards.

Being turned away by a program is not a verdict on you. It usually means the thing you need costs more than $39 and involves a person in a room.
