The things people ask first.

Including the ones that are awkward to ask.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is this treatment?

No. It is structured, non-clinical material. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy, medical care, or nutrition advice, and it cannot replace a doctor.

If you have a treatment team, this runs alongside it. If you do not, it is something to work with in the meantime — not a reason to avoid care you need.

How long does this take?

The program runs eight to twelve months. That is the length of the program, not a promise about you — some people need longer, and a few move faster.

It is built that way because appetite is the slowest part. Hunger and fullness signals are physically suppressed by the illness and they come back gradually, months after weight is restored. A twelve-week program can surface the rules. It cannot rebuild an appetite.

Do you give meal plans?

Never. Meal planning is a registered dietitian’s scope of practice, and it belongs with the dietitian on your team. We coordinate with them; we do not do their job.

What if I am not seeing a doctor?

Most people who find this are not. The program does not require it, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

But anorexia damages the heart, the bones, and the blood in ways you cannot feel until they are serious. If you have fainted, if your heart races or skips, if you are cold all the time or have stopped menstruating — see a doctor. You can do both.

What happens if I destabilise during the program?

Stop, and get medical help. The program will still be here.

Nothing written down can assess you, and there is a point where the right response is a person in a room, not a module. Knowing where that line is for you is part of the first phase.

Is there a coach or a therapist?

The program itself is self-administered — written material and structured exercises you work through yourself, with no session to attend and nobody monitoring you. That is the $39 and $297 version, and it is the one most people use.

Coaching is a separate, optional tier at $497 a month: two sessions a month with a coach who is years into their own recovery, trained in the method and clinically supervised. It is coaching, not therapy, and it does not change what the program is.

That is deliberate. Most people who need this are not in therapy, cannot afford it, are on a waiting list, or are not ready to say any of it out loud to another person. That is a real position to be in, and it should not mean going without anything at all.

Can I cancel? Do you give refunds?

Cancel any time, in one click, from your account. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access until the period you have paid for runs out.

Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not worked through most of the program. Email us and we will sort it out — no form, no argument.

Will you talk about my weight?

No. No weight, no calories, no macros, no sizes, no photographs. Progress is measured by what the rules can still make you do.

Does insurance cover it?

No. Overcome is not a covered service and we do not bill insurance. We would rather say so on this page than after you have applied.
