Terms of use
The agreement between you and Overcome LLC. Short, and written in plain language on purpose.
What this is
Overcome LLC provides self-administered, non-clinical written programs and optional coaching for people in recovery from eating disorders.
It is not medical care, psychotherapy, nutrition counselling, or treatment. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, we do not prescribe, and we cannot replace a doctor. Nothing on this site or in the programs is medical advice.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older. The programs are written for people who are medically stable. They are not appropriate for anyone who is medically unwell, acutely unstable, or in crisis.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For crisis support in the US, call or text 988.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
One account, one person. The material is licensed to you personally.
Payment and cancellation
Monthly plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account in one click; cancellation stops the next payment and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends.
The one-time program purchase gives you access for as long as we operate the service.
Prices may change. Existing members are told before any change affects them.
Refunds
Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not worked through most of the program. Full details are on the refund policy page.
What you may and may not do
- You may use the material for your own recovery, print pages for your own use, and share summaries with your own clinicians.
- You may not republish, resell, or distribute the material, or use it to run a program of your own.
- You may not use the service to harass anyone, or attempt to access another member’s account or data.
Our material
The programs, the method, the exercises and the writing are the intellectual property of Overcome LLC. Buying access does not transfer ownership.
No promises about outcomes
Recovery is not something anyone can guarantee, and we do not. We describe what the program is built to reach and how it is sequenced. Individual experiences vary, and some people will need care we cannot provide.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Overcome LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
This clause in particular needs a lawyer’s eye before publication.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or where we believe continued use is unsafe for the person using it. If we do that outside of a breach, we will refund what you have paid for time you cannot use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Nevada.
