Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Overcome LLC (“Overcome”, “we”) operates overcomecare.com and the programs sold through it. Contact us at hello@overcomecare.com.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to give you the program and take payment. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers on pages you see once you are signed in, and we will delete everything if you ask.
We are not a healthcare provider and we do not hold medical records. That means we are almost certainly not a HIPAA covered entity — but the material you write inside the program is sensitive, and we treat it that way regardless.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your work inside the program — the rules you write down, the exercises you complete, and your progress through the phases.
- Basic technical data — which pages loaded and when, for security and to fix faults.
What we do not collect
- Anything about your body. No weight, no calories, no macros, no measurements, no photographs, no BMI. There is nowhere in the program to enter them.
- Any diagnosis. We do not ask for one and we do not record one.
- Advertising identifiers on signed-in pages. No Meta pixel, no session recording, no third-party analytics behind the login.
Who can see what you write
Your written work is yours. Nobody at Overcome LLC reads it as a matter of course, and nothing you write is shared with anyone outside the company.
If you buy the coaching tier, your coach sees the material you choose to share with them and their own notes from your sessions. Coaches are bound by confidentiality as a condition of working with us.
We will never tell a family member, partner, employer, insurer or anyone else that you are a member.
How we contact you
We never name the program, the condition, or anything diagnostic in an email subject line. Emails come from a neutral sender name.
Your card statement will read OVERCOME and nothing more.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors we need to run the service — payment processing, email delivery, and hosting. Each is bound by contract to use it only for that purpose.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for advertising. If we are ever required to disclose something by law we will tell you, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Account and program data for as long as you have an account, and then twelve months, so that returning members do not lose their work. Payment records for as long as tax law requires, currently seven years.
You can ask us to delete everything at any time and we will do it within thirty days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@overcomecare.com and a person will action it.
If you are in the UK or EU, health-related information is a special category of personal data and additional rights apply. Before selling outside the United States, get this reviewed — the consent requirements are stricter than this page currently describes.
Security
Passwords are hashed. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to member data inside the company is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
No system is perfectly secure. If there is ever a breach affecting your data we will tell you promptly and plainly.
Children
The programs are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we discover we have.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will email members before it takes effect, not after.
